Dr Jim is one of proprietors of Mira Mar Veterinary Hospital. Jim is very experienced in all aspects of veterinary practice having worked throughout Australia and the UK. His vet career commenced in Albany in 1999, before he moved back in 2007 with his family for the country lifestyle. Jim’s wife Renae is also a vet, and they have 3 children, two crazy Labrador dogs and some chickens! Jim became a partner in the practice with Dave in 2008, and then with Sara in 2023, which also added Ellie into the fold in 2025.  He has a special interest in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine and the pet-owner bond, completing some extra study in this field in 2008.
